1. King Lion Canvas
South African Artist - W. John Thorpe - British & Irish Lions Tour of South Africa 2009.

W. John Thorpe is an artist who specializes in Scraperboard Art, the rarest and most unforgiving art form in the world. Once a scratch or etch is made unlike other art forms it cannot be erased or edited, it is there to stay. The signatures themselves were obtained through perseverance and some serious legwork at the Cullinan Hotel during the British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa, assisted greatly by the team manager Gerald Davies.

W. John Thorpe has amazingly given The Peeler Invitation Sporting Club his express permission to offer at a The Peeler Open (Golf Day) Auction on August 7th 2009 one only of a limited edition print, of which there are only 200 Worldwide. It has been digitally printed onto the very best canvass available @ 1400 d.p.i. and is as clear as the original, which will be auctioned in aid of the "Lions Trust". This expensive route has been opted for to ensure a 100-year fade free existence in a domestic display environment. Like any art it should not be displayed in direct sunlight indefinitely.

The attached picture shows the artist posing next to a framed example as well as a close up of the Lion's eye to show detail. The item on offer is for the canvass only.

3. Very Rare Black Springbok Pelt - Signed by 2009 Lions and Springboks

This unique Black Springbok Pelt commemorates the British & Irish Lions Tour of South Africa 2009 - It is signed by both The Lions organized by hooker (2) Lee Mears and the Springboks organized by (8) Ryan Kankowski . According to Ryan Kankowski the Springbok number 8 he is not aware of any current SA player to have signed a Pelt, so for this to be signed by both squads makes this a truly unique item for a collector.
